Are you a passionate and motivated chef looking to take the next step in your culinary career? We’re currently seeking a Sous Chef with at least 1 year of experience to join our dynamic kitchen team at No32 The Old Town, part of the Portobello Pub Company, operating over 20 vibrant venues across London.


About the Role:

As Sous Chef, you will support the Head Chef in managing the day-to-day operations of the kitchen, ensuring high standards of food quality, hygiene, and service. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone ready to bring their energy and creativity to a fast-paced, professional kitchen environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the preparation and delivery of high-quality dishes
  • Oversee kitchen operations in the Head Chef's absence
  • Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene standards
  • Support stock control, ordering, and inventory management
  • Help train and motivate junior kitchen staff
  • Maintain a clean, organised, and safe kitchen environment

What We’re Looking For:

  • Minimum 1 year experience as a Sous Chef or in a similar role
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Passion for fresh ingredients and seasonal menus
  • Ability to work under pressure and as part of a team
  • A positive attitude and strong work ethic
