Portobello Pubs are purchasing and refurbishing pubs in the East London/Essex area and are looking for General Managers to take us through these exciting and unique opportunities.
As well as being at the forefront of these exciting projects, you will work alongside our operations team to make the business a success. We want our General Managers to inspire and lead their teams from the front and be the face of the business. It is key that you come up with innovative ways to delight each and every one of the guests that walk through our doors each day.
Everyone that visits our pubs will be treated to the finest food and drink a pub can offer, amongst an atmosphere that you have created that will leave them wanting to come back for more. You will work closely with all managers at the pub to ensure this happens day in, day out.
You will be fully responsible for the pubs P&L, so converting sales to profit is also important. You will have an eagle eye for detail, considering every cost to the business, treating it as your own. You will be at the forefront of training your team, with a genuine passion to develop and nurture your future stars and in turn, take your business forward.
Our pubs are always at the heart of the community, so we are also looking for someone that can help drive this forward. Whether it be making space for all the buggy's for local families on a midweek lunch time, to arranging a big New Years Eve party, we want there to always be something to keep our customers interested.
