Who we are?

King and Co is a cosy craft beer pub just a stones throw from Clapham Common Station. With 18 beer lines and monthly rotating kitchens, there is always lots happening and to keep on top of at King and Co and we're looking for a new Assistant Manager to join the team. We want you to know your sour beers from your juicy pale ales so you can help our guests find their perfect beer choice every time and be keen to work with some of London's best breweries in events and Tap Takeovers. You'll also play a part in working with some of Londons best pop up kitchen and deliver some of the best food in Clapham, which gets changed up every month so you never get bored of your staff meals. A competitve salary of £32,000 and generous tronc is on offer along with 50% off food and drink in all Portobello Pubs with balanced rotas and bonuses on offer.

You will be an integral part of the management team, leading from the front, with laughter, passion and a desire to continually improve all that happens in your pub. Your eye for high standards across the board will be your focal point, ensuring that you are the huge welcome as people walk through our doors, the first line of support for our amazing teams, with an enthusiasm for great food and drink that you can wow our guests with at the bar or table and also to inspire our teams to do the same.

As part of the management team will of course come with some management responsibilities. Ensuring the pub is health and safety compliant, cashing up at the end of the night or maybe managing all bookings and events, so being organised and trustworthy is a must to be part of our management team.
