We are looking for a chef that can serve the people that visit the wonderful John the Unicorn with some of the finest food that south London has to offer. You'll join us at Portobello Pubs with this unique opportunity for a chef to build their career.
You will have the full support from the managers here and our food and operations team to succeed and bring customers back wanting more!
Ideally this would suit someone who wants to create their own kitchen/menu and wants to start on a small scale.
This is a Wednesday to Sunday role, with every Monday and Tuesday off.
Being your own head chef, you will have the responsibility for running ‘YOUR’ kitchen. We have a small menu base with the company dishes but you will be as involved in the menu design and daily specials, we want our chef to own ‘their menu’! And eventually grow it into something great.
We need a proper chef that can cook great ingredients perfectly every time, we want our main menu to change with the seasons, and specials that show imagination, flair, and personality.
We will give you the platform to one day be a Head Chef, with regular training days and visits from our Group Executive Chef & Area Chefs
