We are looking for a passionate and skilled Chef de Partie to join the kitchen team at No.1a Duke Street. You will be responsible for managing a specific section of the kitchen, ensuring high standards of food preparation, presentation, and hygiene are consistently met.
Key Responsibilities
- Take ownership of a designated kitchen section (e.g., grill, larder)
- Prepare, cook, and present dishes in line with the restaurant’s standards
- Ensure all mise en place is completed efficiently before service
- Maintain consistency in food quality and portion control
- Support junior chefs and assist with their training and development
- Monitor stock levels and communicate ordering needs
- Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and health & safety regulations
- Work collaboratively with the wider kitchen and front-of-house teams
- Assist in menu development and daily specials where required
Skills & Experience
- Previous experience as a Chef de Partie or strong Commis Chef ready to step up
- Solid understanding of cooking techniques and kitchen operations
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Strong organisational and time-management skills
- Knowledge of food safety standards (e.g., HACCP)
- A team player with a positive and proactive attitude
